UNLOCKING TALENT: THE ENNEAGRAM AS A ROADMAP FOR TOMORROW’S LEADERS

1024 614 Incubadora de Talento

Last Monday, April 20th, the classroom at the Faculty of Business was fi lled with curiosity and a desire to learn during the workshop “New ways of being and leading: Enneagram applied to people management,” organized by the Talent Incubator at the University of Granada.

During the session, Enneagram expert José Antonio Bañón Lara introduced the attendees to this fascinating personality classification system. The goal was not only to learn about the nine “enneatypes,” but also to understand how this powerful tool can transform the way we relate to others, understand people, and, above all, lead teams in the future work environment.

If anything characterized the event, it was its 100% participatory approach. Far from sticking just to theory, Bañón Lara put the attendees to the test through several group dynamics designed to internalize and apply the newly learned concepts in a fun way.

To check if they had truly understood the different traits of each personality, the students participated in several identification “games”:

● The Musical Enneagram: One of the most talked-about dynamics involved listening to and analyzing different songs, debating which enneatype was hidden behind the lyrics and the attitude of each track.

● Analysis of Medical Profi les: In another practical case, attendees had to evaluate different “medical profiles,” studying their way of acting, communicating with patients, and solving problems to diagnose which Enneagram number corresponded to each professional.

The day concluded with an unbeatable atmosphere and a high level of participation. All attendees, who in addition to the experience received their corresponding certificate of attendance, left the classroom with a new perspective on self-awareness and empathy—fundamental soft skills that companies are highly seeking today.

At the Talent Incubator, we remain committed to offering educational experiences that make a difference. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this afternoon of discovery and leadership!

WHY DO SOME TEAMS FLOW EASILY WHILE OTHERS GET STALLED?

In today’s business environment, the success of work teams no longer relies exclusively on technical knowledge or academic records. Under this premise, the Incubadora de Talento hosted the “Beyond the CV” seminar yesterday—an intensive session designed to equip students with advanced tools for people management and recruitment.

The seminar was led by Elena Mellado García, who introduced participants to the DISC methodology, a model used to identify and understand different human behavioral profi les. Through group dynamics focused on communication, negotiation, and creativity, participants experienced firsthand how these profiles directly influence talent integration within organizations.

Unlike traditional training, the day stood out for its practical and dynamic approach. Students worked through real-life decision-making scenarios, learning to identify behavioral strengths that often go unnoticed in conventional job interviews or on a paper resume.

This initiative was made possible thanks to the funding and strategic support of the Department of Business Organization II (Departamento de Organización de Empresas II). This collaboration highlights the shared commitment of both entities to providing future professionals with cutting-edge training that meets the actual demands of today’s labor market.

Through these actions, the Incubadora de Talento continues to establish itself as a key space for the development of soft skills and the employability of young talent.

WORKSHOP: “CONFLICT RESOLUTION, FROM DISAGREEMENT TO CONSENSUS”

768 1024 Incubadora de Talento

A professional’s talent lies not only in their technical knowledge but also in their ability to navigate complex environments, manage differences, and find joint solutions. Driven by this premise, our latest workshop was hosted.

On this occasion, at the Incubadora de Talento, we wanted to step away from traditional masterclasses. To achieve this, we had the guidance of Antonio J. Caballero, a renowned personal development expert, who designed a highly practical and dynamic session.

For two hours, the classroom transformed into a true social skills laboratory. Attendees didn’t just listen to confl ict theory; they had to face it firsthand through various group dynamics. During the workshop, participants were able to:

Face simulated tension scenarios: Recreating real business environments where the parties’ interests were at odds.
Train active listening and empathy: Fundamental tools for understanding the other person’s position before trying to impose one’s own.
Learn through action: Using tactile and visual elements to represent how effective communication “bridges are built” between positions that, at first glance, seem irreconcilable.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing how attendees evolved from a competitive mindset to a collaborative one, understanding that true success in negotiation isn’t about “beating” the other person, but finding a consensus that adds value to both parties. We will keep working to bring you the best practical training. We look forward to seeing you at the next workshop!

We are pleased to announce the successful relaunch of the “T-Systems Connection” program, a consolidated initiative driven by the close collaboration between the University of Granada and the multinational T-Systems Iberia, through the Chair of Innovation in Sustainable Digitalization.

The ETSIIT Assembly Hall hosted more than 100 students, exceeding all participation expectations and demonstrating the immense interest of our university community in the real-world application of technological advances.

The institutional opening was led by Francisco Ruiz (Value Center Line Manager at T-Systems) and J. Alberto Aragón-Correa (Professor at UGR and Director of the Chair), who emphasized the importance of this synergy as a driver for innovation and talent development.

The inaugural session was led by Francisco Rodrigo Ginés (Head of AI Engineering at T-Systems). His technical and thought-provoking presentation on Artificial Intelligence allowed attendees to:

● Understand the practical application of Large Language Models in today’s complex systems.
● Analyze technology from a critical and transformative perspective.

The keynote was followed by a round table discussion featuring Jose Luis Garrido Bullejos (Professor at UGR), Francisco Rodrigo Ginés, and Francisco Ruiz, moderated by J. Alberto Aragón-Correa. This provided a relaxed environment where students could voice their questions and connect directly with industry leaders.

At the Talent Incubator, we reaffirm our commitment to bringing real-world technological use cases into the classroom, offering companies an unparalleled window to connect with emerging talent.

A perfect kickoff for a new academic year full of connections!

Last Friday, Elena Mellado visited the classrooms of the University of Granada. The Faculty of Economics and Business hosted a masterclass organized by the Department of Business Organization II in collaboration with the Talent Incubator, designed to show the practical, innovative, and fun side of people management in the Human Resources Management course for the Business Administration and Law, Business Administration, and Tourism degrees.

Under the motto “Talent in the right place,” the session focused on the strategic management of human capital and its direct impact on corporate performance. Elena Mellado shared the famous ‘Harvard Case’ with a classroom full of students, breaking down the concepts of ‘A-B-C Positions’ and ‘A-B-C Players’. Through a dynamic methodology, the students learned how to audit and segment key roles and individuals based on their value contribution to align talent with long-term strategic objectives.

During the meeting, the students were able to experience firsthand the real workforce planning trends and tools that are setting the pace in today’s labor market. Far from being a purely theoretical class, the talk stood out for its practical and interactive approach, including playful exercises and group dynamics such as calculations and sales simulations that directly engaged the students. The future professionals understood that adaptability and knowledge of these new strategic tools are the true keys to standing out.

This activity reaffi rms the main objective of the Talent Incubator: to narrow the gap between the academic and business environments. Thanks to the Department of Business Organization II of the UGR, we continue to provide our university talent with the opportunity to learn from active leaders and prepare with confidence for the challenges of tomorrow.

We continue to push UGR talent to the next level!

THE “MAZE” CHALLENGE: DIGITAL TECH BOOTCAMP TESTS TEAMWORK

1024 683 Incubadora de Talento

Participants of the Digital Tech Bootcamp program, promoted by UGR and T-Systems, have tackled an immersive dynamic during their latest soft skills workshop with Jorge Blanco, proving that the tech sector requires top human talent.

Within the demanding curriculum of the Digital Tech Bootcamp, it’s not all algorithms and code. The program’s students recently participated in the Teamwork Skills Workshop, a key session designed to enhance their transversal competencies and prepare them for the realities of the job market.

During the session, the students—who come from various STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields—temporarily set aside their screens to take on the “labyrinth” dynamic. This practical, experiential exercise required them to coordinate, communicate effectively, and make collective decisions to overcome a shared challenge, simulating the daily hurdles they will face in their future workplaces.

This session perfectly refl ects the comprehensive approach of the program organized by the University of Granada’s Talent Incubator and the multinational tech company T-Systems. While mastering advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence or Data Science is essential to stand out in today’s landscape, leading companies are also looking for profiles that excel in soft skills, such as:

● Leadership and proactivity in agile problem-solving.
● Emotional intelligence to manage stressful and uncertain situations.
● Assertive communication to achieve maximum cohesion and efficiency within a team.

DISCOVER YOUR PROFESSIONAL PROFILE WITH THE DISC METHODOLOGY: JORGE BLANCO AT UGR

1024 550 Incubadora de Talento

As part of the 10th Edition of the “Skills Improvement for Job Search” workshops, organized by the FCCEE Vice-Dean of Students and the Talent Incubator, expert Jorge Blanco (CEO of Senttia, School of Leadership) led a highly practical session focused on self-discovery and professional development. The event centered on the DISC methodology, a behavioral analysis tool widely used by Human Resources departments to evaluate candidates.

Moving away from traditional lectures, this dynamic and interactive workshop explored the four DISC dimensions (Decision, Interaction, Serenity, and Compliance) by asking students a key question: “Which color do you identify with?”. Through engaging group activities, attendees discovered their innate strengths, analyzed their behavioral profi les (rational vs. sentimental, extroverted vs. introverted), and learned how to enhance their emotional intelligence and teamwork skills to stand out to modern recruiters.

Funded by the UGR’s Vice-Rectorate for Social Innovation, Employability, and Entrepreneurship, this initiative reinforces the Talent Incubator’s ongoing commitment to bridging the gap between academia and the business world, equipping students with the tools and confidence they need for a successful future.
