The session was led by Federico Rodríguez, Operations Manager at the multinational company Safran.
During his speech, Federico delivered a message of optimism and pragmatism, assuring attendees that “Granada has a labor market where you can develop yourselves.” One of the highlights of the day was demystifying the idea that talent must emigrate to find good conditions. The data presented showed that Granada is consolidating itself as the third province with the highest density of technology companies in all of Andalusia. This translates into an immense range of opportunities within a sector that offers great flexibility, professional growth, and a global environment.
There is often a false belief that tech companies only demand engineers or programmers. The presentation made it clear that graduates in Business Administration (ADE) or similar fields have countless options depending on their standout skills. A corporate or business profile is vital in multiple key departments within the tech world. Having the skills is only the first step; the next is knowing how to access those opportunities. The speaker placed special emphasis on the need to update and optimize one’s LinkedIn profile, as it is “the main source for finding a job and the best opportunities.”
The great lesson of the day was summarized in a fundamental maxim for modern professional development: “The key is not just to apply. The key is to be found.”
With this session, we conclude this academic year’s seminar cycle, but next year we will kick off with many new activities. From the Talent Incubator, we will continue building bridges between the university and the business world, betting on young talent. We are closing a chapter, but we are already working on the opportunities for the upcoming academic year!
