The Talent Incubator and the Department of Business Organization II are organizing a learning session on Personal, Professional, and Team Coaching led by Jorge Blanco.

Companies that implement coaching programs report significant improvements in performance, job satisfaction, and talent retention. A recent study by the International Coaching Association showed that 70% of individuals who received coaching experienced notable benefits in their work performance, relationships, and effective communication.

Therefore, on May 21st, the Talent Incubator of the University of Granada, in collaboration with the Department of Business Organization II, will carry out a special training session specifically aimed at learning about Coaching processes under the guidance of expert Jorge Blanco. “Coaching is not just a passing trend; it is an investment in human capital that yields measurable results,” states Jorge Blanco, a professional coach with more than two decades of experience. According to this expert: “Coaching has also proven to be beneficial in the personal sphere, helping individuals overcome obstacles, manage stress, and improve interpersonal relationships.”

The event will take place at the Faculty of Business, from 12:30 to 14:00 in classroom E26, and aims to provide students and members of the university community with practical tools and effective strategies to enhance their personal, professional, and teamwork skills.

Jorge Blanco, with a distinguished career in the field of coaching, will address this new training model that more and more companies are incorporating. The session will be practical and experiential, and all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.

THE TALENT INCUBATOR AND MULTINATIONAL LEROY MERLIN ORGANIZE A UNIQUE IMMERSION EXPERIENCE IN RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESSES: TALENT DAY

Last Friday, May 17, the University of Granada and the multinational Leroy Merlin came together to organize an activity for students and recent graduates interested in learning and gaining experience in professional recruitment and selection processes.

During the “Talent Day” event, held in Room E27 of the Faculty of Business, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in various activities designed to enhance their understanding of the recruitment and selection practices used by companies. These activities included self-assessment tests used in real selection processes, learning new techniques for resume writing, and participating in interviews and selection dynamics. Experts and executives from Leroy Merlin shared their knowledge and experiences with the attendees, offering invaluable insights into key aspects of these processes and explaining how internal professional development programs are designed once the appropriate tests are passed.

Participants in Talent Day not only gained practical knowledge but also received a certificate of participation, adding a valuable credential to their resumes. This event was an excellent opportunity for those looking to stand out in the competitive job market.

THE KEYS TO RELATIONAL INTELLIGENCE AT THE TALENT INCUBATOR

The twenty students of the Professional Skills Acceleration Program have delved into the fascinating world of Relational Intelligence thanks to the seminar titled “Relational Intelligence: How to Get Along.”

Olga Romero, a professional coach and founder of the Granada International Montessori School, shared with the participating students strategies and tools to enhance their interpersonal skills.

During the session, Olga addressed key topics such as empathy, effective communication, conflict resolution, and building solid relationships. Thus, the students acquired practical mechanisms to improve their ability to connect with others and develop positive interpersonal relationships both in the workplace and in their personal lives.

The event, held on May 6th at the Faculty of Business, is sponsored by the company “Alight Solutions,” an organization committed to the development and success of emerging professionals. Thanks to their support, the participating students have received an enriching and transformative experience by having the opportunity to immerse themselves in an interactive and dynamic learning space designed to foster their personal and professional growth.

SEMINAR “UNDERSTANDING EMOTIONS THROUGH CONVERSATION”

The Talent Incubator collaborated with the Department of Business Organization II at the University of Granada to organize the seminar “Understanding Emotions Through Conversation.” This educational event was scheduled for May 16 at the Faculty of Labor Relations and Human Resources at the University of Granada.

The seminar aimed to provide participants with practical skills in conflict resolution, effective communication, and relational and emotional intelligence. Fran Parera, a renowned expert in team management and personal development, shared his expertise and knowledge to enhance the attendees’ understanding of these fundamental topics for success in both personal and professional realms.

The seminar was open to students from the entire university community who were interested in improving their interpersonal communication skills and learning constructive techniques for negotiation and conflict resolution.

SOLIDARITY AT THE TALENT INCUBATOR TO “ESCUELA DE SOLIDARIDAD”: RAFFLE!

Participants of the Professional Skills Acceleration Program support the Foundation Escuela de Solidaridad

The Talent Incubator at the University of Granada is witnessing a tremendous act of solidarity driven by this year’s participants of the Professional Skills Acceleration Program. In collaboration with the Foundation Escuela de Solidaridad, these talented young individuals are making a tangible difference in the community.

The Foundation Escuela de Solidaridad, with over 25 years of experience, has been a refuge for those without homes. At its facilities in Sierra Elvira, over 150 people find a safe and welcoming place to live. However, the Foundation faces enormous logistical challenges, and this is where the solidarity and initiative of these young men and women come into play.

The goal is clear: to raise funds to purchase a new van to facilitate the logistical and transportation tasks of the Foundation. To achieve this goal, they have organized a solidarity raffle with 8 different prizes thanks to the collaboration of various local businesses: Tiendas Ambar, Terramarket Granada, MostazaGreen Burger, El taller de Nicoleta, Las chicas de la estación, librería Papel y Tinta, Formula Karting, and of course, the Foundation Escuela de Solidaridad.

Each participation in the raffle has a value of €2 and can be paid via Bizum, indicating in the concept “RIFA FES”, to any of the following numbers:

T-SYSTEMS RECEIVES THE AWARD FOR BUSINESS RECOGNITION FROM UGR

UGR recognizes T-Systems for its support of innovation and university talent.

The multinational company T-Systems has been awarded the Business Recognition Award by the University of Granada. This award has been granted for the results achieved through the collaboration between the university and the company within the framework of the T-Systems-University of Granada Chair of Innovation in Sustainability. The chair is pioneering in Europe in its field and promotes dissemination and training actions in the field of digitalization and sustainability.

The award was granted by the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences, led by its Dean Alberto Castañeda, and was presented by Pedro Mercado, Rector of the University of Granada, to Cristina Caamiña, Director of T-Systems Value Centers in Granada and Reus. Both Alberto and Cristina highlighted the convergence of objectives of the two organizations around innovation, knowledge, and internationalization.

Alberto Aragon-Correa, Chair Director, and Lola Vidal, Coordinator, announced that the joint University-T-Systems committee is already preparing the program for the following year of the Chair. Francisco Ruiz, who also attended the event and is a member of that committee, also confirmed that they expect a combination of continuity and novelty in the actions for the next academic year. Salvador del Barrio, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Communication of the University of Granada, and Vanessa Martos Muñoz, Director of the Mediterranean Center, highlighted the potential of these collaborations for a future in which new opportunities are constantly emerging.

SEMINAR “SOFT SKILLS THROUGH GAMIFICATION. ESCAPE ROOM”

On April 12th, the Talent Incubator hosted an innovative event aimed at enhancing professional skills in a dynamic way.

Under the title “Soft Skills through Gamification,” the seminar was led by Professor Alejandro Ortiz, an expert in HR management and leadership skills.

The event took place at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, with its main objective being to equip participants with fundamental soft skills for professional success, such as effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, among others. The highlight of this seminar was its practical approach, using gamification as the main tool for learning.

This seminar was aimed at students who have been selected as part of the Talent Incubator’s Competence Acceleration Program. These students represent a select group with exceptional potential, ready to make the most of this professional development opportunity.

“TOGETHER WE ADD MORE”, A WORKSHOP TO DEVELOP HIGHLY IN-DEMAND SKILLS

The Talent Incubator held a new seminar aimed at enhancing teamwork skills among future professionals.

On March 20th, the workshop titled “Together We Achieve More” took place, led by Gema Campos, an executive and team coaching specialist.

This workshop, held at the Faculty of Economics and Business, had the primary goal of providing participants with practical tools to improve their ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. This seminar is part of the Competence Acceleration Program, sponsored by the company “Alight,” which has demonstrated its commitment to the professional development of young emerging talents.

The Competence Acceleration Program consists of 20 students, a group with high potential and strong motivation to excel in the professional world.

In summary, the teamwork workshop “Together We Achieve More” was an enriching and transformative experience for the selected students, providing them with the tools and skills necessary to excel in a collaborative and demanding work environment.

The CB Granada celebrates its victory with collaborators and participants of the talent development program.

Last Sunday, March 10th, CB Granada celebrated a memorable victory against Bilbao Basket, and among the privileged spectators who shared this epic moment were the participants of the Competence Acceleration Program (CAP). The team’s victory, an unforgettable moment for the sports community, was captured in an exciting snapshot that brought together prominent members of the program, the team captain, and essential collaborators.

The photograph, taken at court level, features the team captain, David Iriarte (@diriurdi), sharing the excitement of the triumph with the participants of the Competence Acceleration Program, Javier Toni, VP Application Services of Alight Solutions, and Juan Alberto Aragón, professor at the University of Granada and Co-Director of the UGR Talent Incubator.

The support of these talented young people, along with 8,000 other passionate fans, was crucial to CB Granada’s success on the court, highlighting the importance of teamwork and collaboration in sports.

SELF-KNOWLEDGE WORKSHOP FROM THE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS ACCELERATION PROGRAM

On March 13th, participants of the Acceleration Program had the opportunity to attend a specialized workshop titled “Overcome Your Limitations,” led by coaching expert Jorge Blanco from the Senttia Leadership School. The event took place at the Faculty of Business at the University, with the aim of serving as a point of reflection and inflection for attendees by offering them tools and strategies focused on overcoming personal and professional barriers.
