As part of the Tour del Talento in Granada, UGR students participated in an experiential workshop where the development of interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence were the central pillars for achieving professional success.
What differentiates a good professional from an inspiring leader? The answer lies not only in a technical CV but in the ability to manage oneself and connect with others. With this premise, the Incubadora de Talento(University of Granada), in collaboration with the Princess of Girona Foundation (FPdGi), hosted the workshop “Betting on the Leaders of the Future,” led by personal development expert Lola Vidal.
Moving away from traditional academic sessions, the workshop led by Lola Vidal focused on an experiential methodology. Students from the Faculty of Economics and Business left their desks behind to engage in movement-based dynamics and role-playing exercises designed to integrate learning both physically and emotionally.
The session focused on providing UGR youth with practical tools to tackle their leap into the labor market, working on three key concepts:
● Radical Confidence: Learning to act not because of an absence of fear, but through the security of one’s own resources to overcome challenges.
● Situational Leadership: The importance of knowing how to define a clear direction and acting as a facilitator so that teams can reach their full potential.
● Self-Awareness and Empathy: Understanding emotional intelligence as the necessary foundation for creating authentic and productive bonds in the professional world.
This workshop is part of the strategic alliance between the Incubadora de Talento, the FPdGi, and the Tour del Talento, with the shared goal of closing the gap between university training and the real-world competencies demanded by today’s organizations.
From the Incubadora, this event reinforces our mission to not only educate students but to activate professionals with a winning mindset and solid values. Seeing our students step out of their comfort zones to challenge their limits is the ultimate proof that the future of leadership in Granada is thriving.
