A DAY AT STRADA HEADQUARTERS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT A LEADING MULTINATIONAL

1024 658 Incubadora de Talento

On December 11, participants in the Skills Acceleration Program (SAP) visited the facilities of Strada Global in Granada for a day focused on gaining first-hand insight into the daily work of different departments within the company. Over four engaging hours, there was time for information, inspiration, and direct interaction between participants and professionals responsible for multiple areas of the business.

The core of the activity consisted of a series of presentations delivered by Strada professionals, who explained the roles, projects, and working dynamics of their respective areas. These presentations provided an overview of all the activities involved in the company’s interaction process with its clients. Pilar Guillén (SAP PS CoE Leader and Strada Coordinator for relations with the University of Granada’s Talent Incubator) and Francisco Quesada (SAP PS Global Business Leader) acted as hosts, with Pilar also introducing her colleagues. The speakers included: José Carlos Díaz (Application Services Director), Noelia Manchón (SAP PS ITCSO Manager), Akash Mirpuri (Global Service Transition Lead), Miguel Vílchez (Operations SAP Payroll Specialist), Irene Aladueña (SAP FR Payroll Lead), Maricruz Yáñez (SAP SF TalentHR & XtendHR Senior Manager), Miguel López (XtendHR Senior Specialist & Cluster Lead), Diego Muelas (Pre-Sales Consultant), Margarita San Juan Clements (Talent Acquisition Recruiter), Aida Martínez (Talent Acquisition Recruiter), Maitena Lois (SAP PS ITCSO), and Pia Ellimäki (Business Development Director).

Following the presentations, students and professionals shared an informal networking session accompanied by refreshments, allowing participants to discuss the areas presented in greater detail and to gain a deeper understanding of the work experience at Strada.

The event was further enriched by the participation, during the informal session, of a distinguished team of Strada mentors, including Julio del Río Ferriz, Practice Lead Professional Services for Spain and Portugal; Sascha F. Schneider, Senior Director Legal and Chief Privacy Officer; Manuel Vargas, Advisory Services Director; José Carlos Díaz, Application Services Director; Eva Martín, Finance Order to Cash Director; and Pascal Jéhanno, Strategic Account Client Executive. Each of them shared insights from their professional experience and answered the wide range of questions posed individually by the participants, offering young attendees a comprehensive view of the company’s operations and the challenges faced by each area.

Representing the Incubator, Alejandro Ortiz, SAP Program Coordinator, Alberto Aragón and Lola Vidal, Co-Directors of the Chair, and Juan Valbuena, Professor of Business Organization, also attended and accompanied the group throughout the visit, enjoying the experience alongside the students. Alejandro highlighted the personal and professional growth benefits that such activities provide for participants.

The day offered students a direct perspective on different professional fields and enabled them to deepen their understanding of the internal workings of an internationally operating technology company.

Before concluding the visit, the group took a short tour of some of the company’s facilities, which were decorated with Christmas motifs at this time of year. One aspect that particularly caught participants’ attention was discovering that professionals from up to 56 nationalities work in the offices, creating a vibrant and enriching multicultural environment, also marked by a wide variety of academic backgrounds. An excellent afternoon.

The 20 participants in the Skills Acceleration Program are selected based on their academic records and potential from among final-year undergraduate and master’s students from five different faculties. Throughout the academic year, they take part in training activities focused on personal and professional skills, as well as coaching and mentoring with senior executives.

A BUSINESS VISIT TO DISCOVER THE PROFESSIONAL FUTURE FROM THE INSIDE

The young women of the Talento Mujer program visited Strada Global in an inspiring day that brought participants closer to the real workings of a leading multinational technology company.

In a context where digital transformation is redefining the rules of the game, it remains essential to create spaces in which women can explore, firsthand, how talent is built in the technology sector.

Yesterday, participants in the 6th edition of the Talento Mujer program took a decisive step along this path: they visited Strada Global’s headquarters in Granada to gain an inside look at a multinational benchmark in technological services. The day began with a welcome from Pilar Guillén, CoE Leader, who conveyed to the young women the importance of initiatives that promote female talent and encouraged them to make the most of every opportunity for learning and professional growth.

Following this reception, the visit was guided by Pablo García, who shared with the students a close and transparent perspective on Strada Global’s culture, the challenges of the sector, and the strategic importance of incorporating diverse talent into teams. In addition, the young women had the opportunity to speak with leaders from the Human Resources area, gaining deeper insight into recruitment processes, the most in-demand profiles, and the different career paths that can be developed within the company.

Over the course of an entire afternoon, participants experienced what day-to-day life is like in a large technology organization: from team structures and work methodologies to global project management and the constant drive for innovation. One of the young women particularly highlighted “how interesting it was to discover from the inside how the Human Resources area really works and how talent is selected and supported.”

The initiative does not merely aim to bring the technology sector closer to young university women; it seeks to break down barriers, create role models, and demonstrate that female presence in digital environments is essential to building fairer, more diverse, and more competitive companies. As another attendee expressed at the end of the visit, “seeing how they work and hearing it directly from those on the inside makes you feel that this place could be yours too.”

Talento Mujer 6.0 thus continues to establish itself as a key program at the University of Granada to promote equal opportunities and support tomorrow’s professionals as they enter the technology sector. Each experience, like the one at Strada Global, not only adds training but also opens doors and awakens vocations.

Great opportunities for the future professional careers of university talent

The Faculty of Business Studies was the setting, on November 26 and 27, 2025, for two major career-boosting events organized by the Talent Incubator in collaboration with Lactalis Puleva. These activities, aimed at high-potential university students, sought to connect academic training with real opportunities for professional development.

Both initiatives were part of an excellence program designed to identify young talent, strengthen leadership skills, and facilitate the future incorporation of participants into the leading company in the dairy sector. All this was made possible through the drive and leadership of Pedro Marín, Rosa Bergillos, and Alejandra Jaén.

On November 26, the Industrial Opportunity Day took place, aimed at students from degrees such as chemistry, biology, food science and technology, pharmacy, biotechnology, or nutrition. During the day, attendees were able to learn first-hand about the company’s R&D, Quality, Laboratory, Production, and Technology departments. They also had the participation of the industrial ambassadors: Mercedes Filgaria (R&D), Laura Martínez (Quality and Laboratory), Juan Antonio Megías (Maintenance), and Francisco Javier Ureña (Production), who shared their experience and guided students through activities that recreated real selection processes in the scientific and industrial sectors.

One day later, on November 27, the Business Opportunity Day was held, targeting students of Business Administration, Economics, Law, Marketing, Statistics, Human Resources, Psychology, and other business-related disciplines. On this occasion, participants were able to interact with business-area ambassadors: Araceli Martínez (Sales Development), Cristina Torres (Marketing), Patricia Ocaña (Supply Chain), Fátima Sillero (Management Control), Mario Liébana (Commercial and Customer Administration), and Aurelia López Gallardo and Alicia Hernández (HR). They all shared their insights into the different departments and accompanied students in activities simulating real talent-acquisition processes in major companies.

After completing all stages of the process, the 30 selected students will begin their professional experience at Lactalis Puleva starting in February 2026, undertaking a paid six-month internship.

An immersive experience that brings university talent closer to the current demands of the technological ecosystem

The Talent Incubator held a new edition of the T-Systems Experience program, an initiative aimed at bringing students closer to the reality of digital transformation and the current challenges of the technology sector. The activity, organized with the support of the T-Systems – University of Granada Chair for Sustainable Digital Innovation, brought together 70 final-year students from the double degrees in Business Administration and Law, and Business Administration with Civil and Computer Engineering.

The event began with a talk by Alberto Aragón, Professor at the University of Granada and Director of the Talent Incubator, who highlighted the importance of students gaining first-hand insight into how leading technology companies operate. Next, Francisco Ruiz, Value Center Manager at T-Systems, delivered an institutional welcome in which he presented the company’s philosophy and its leading role in the digitalization of public administrations and major private companies. His remarks served as an introduction to a program designed to show students the real impact of technology on contemporary organizational processes.

During the visit, participants toured T-Systems’ Granada headquarters and explored various work, innovation, and development spaces. They also attended presentations of several use cases applied to fields such as justice, public administration, and private enterprise, delivered by company representatives.

The session concluded with an informal space for conversation and networking between students and T-Systems professionals, where key topics such as future digital profiles, working conditions, dynamics in technological environments, and recruitment processes were discussed. This format—combining presentations, a guided tour, and open dialogue—aims to help students understand how their academic knowledge can align with current needs in the digital market.

To close the event, Jorge Chamorro, Area Lead of Cybersecurity at T-Systems and one of the day’s coordinators, expressed his satisfaction in contributing to showcasing professional opportunities linked to the digital and technological development fields. WOMEN’S TALENT 4.0: AN EXPERIENCE THAT GOES BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

1024 576 Incubadora de Talento

In a world where technology is advancing at a rapid pace, the gender gap in the digital sphere remains an open wound.

The numbers don’t lie. According to the report “Women Scientists in Figures 2025”, women represent 57% of university students in Spain. However, in fields such as Engineering or Computer Science, their presence barely reaches 28% and 17% respectively. This inequality carries over to the labor market, where women hold only one-third of the positions in the technological sector.

The University of Granada, once again this year, in collaboration with the multinational Strada, is taking action in the face of this reality. The Talento Mujer 4.0 program supports 15 young women in the sixth edition of this initiative with a formula as simple as it is powerful: training, mentoring, and real professional opportunities in the digital sector.

The presentation of the program took place last Thursday in the Graduate Hall of the School of Civil Engineering and was attended by Lola Vidal, Co-Director of the Talent Incubator, and executives from Strada Global: Pilar Guillén, ProServ CoE Leader; Noelia Manchon, ProServ IT Client Service Owner Manager; and Encarnación García, Talent Acquisition – Early Career & Campus Recruiter.

For nine months, the selected students from STEM degrees will immerse themselves in an intensive program combining training in high-performance professional skills, personalized mentoring in digital technologies, and paid internships at a leading technology multinational.

The impact of Talento Mujer 4.0 aims to go beyond the purely academic. It is a commitment to equity, diversity, and a future in which women not only take part in the digital revolution but can also lead it. In the words of one of the participants: “We hope not only to learn about technology and innovation, but also to acquire key skills such as leading teams, communicating effectively, and believing in ourselves.”

Programs like this are more necessary than ever. The “Women Scientists in Figures 2025” report warns that if the current pace continues, parity at the highest levels of the digital career path will not be achieved for another 15 years.

Talento Mujer 4.0 has become a benchmark at the University of Granada for gender equality initiatives. At a time when Spain needs to incorporate more than three million professionals with digital skills, we cannot afford to leave half of the talent behind.

SUCCESS AT THE 3RD EDITION OF THE LACTALIS PULEVA-UGR INNOVATION HACKATHON!

1024 683 Incubadora de Talento

The 3rd Edition of the Lactalis Puleva – University of Granada Innovation Hackathon has been a resounding success, consolidating itself as a benchmark experience for developing university talent, creativity, and collaboration between business and academia. Organized by the Lactalis Puleva – University of Granada Chair of Intrapreneurship and Innovation and the UGR Talent Incubator, the event brought together nearly 300 students in a day marked by energy, engagement, and the ability to tackle real business challenges.

The Lactalis Puleva–UGR Innovation Hackathon aims to offer participants a hands-on experience where they can develop innovative solutions to real management and organizational challenges, combining creative thinking, strategic analysis, and teamwork. Although hackathons traditionally originated in the tech world, this initiative adapts the format to address business challenges from the perspective of management innovation and intrapreneurship. In doing so, the program becomes a forum that allows university students to strengthen essential skills for their professional future, such as planning, creativity, leadership, and the efficient management of resources and time.

The event, held on October 30, 2025, at the Faculty of Economics and Business, was opened by José Alberto Castañeda García, Dean of the Faculty, and J. Alberto Aragón-Correa, Director of the IdT Granada Talent Incubator, who highlighted the importance of this initiative as an example of collaboration between the university and the business community. Throughout the day, participants worked in multidisciplinary teams and received guidance from executives and professionals from Grupo Lactalis, including Pedro Marín García, Miguel García Cuesta, Borja Meléndez, Ana Alejandra Jaén Rondán, and Rosa Bergillos Hidalgo, as well as representatives from the Talent, Marketing, and Brand Management departments.

The Talent Incubator especially expressed gratitude for the involvement of the faculty and the organizing team, led by Lola Vidal and J. Alberto Aragón-Correa, along with professors Natalia Ortiz, Encarnación García, Virginia Luque-Romero, Rubén Ordóñez, Inmaculada Martín, Antonio Rueda, David Alejandro Jiménez, and Luisa Delgado-Márquez, as well as collaborators Adriana Jiménez and Lorena Santana. Thanks to their dedication, the event became an intensive learning space filled with collaboration and motivation for the students.

The finalist teams will present their proposals at the Hackathon Final Gala, to be held on November 20 at the Lactalis Puleva headquarters in Granada. During the ceremony, the winning projects will be announced, and certificates of excellence, recognitions, and awards will be presented to the most outstanding teams. All participants will receive an official certificate from the University of Granada Talent Incubator and will have the opportunity to apply for paid internships at Lactalis Puleva, reinforcing the professional and educational nature of the experience.

This third edition once again highlights the power of university talent and the strength of collaboration between academia and the business sector, promoting hands-on training focused on innovation and professional development.

THE 4TH EDITION OF THE TAO EXPERT PROGRAM KICKS OFF IN COLLABORATION WITH T-SYSTEMS!

1024 768 Incubadora de Talento

On October 27, 2025, the University of Granada and T-Systems Iberia inaugurated the 4th Edition of the TAO Expert Program in Digital Transformation of Public Administrations in the Tax Field, a joint initiative between the Talent Incubator and the technology multinational aimed at promoting the digital modernization of the public sector.

The program, established as one of the most comprehensive training initiatives in the digitalization of local administrations, offers practical and specialized training based on the use of TAO software, one of the most widely used tools for tax management in Spanish municipalities. Through intensive sessions, participants work alongside T-Systems professionals to optimize management processes, automation, and transparency in public services.

In addition to technical training, the TAO Expert Program includes experiential seminars focused on developing personal and professional competencies.
Participants strengthen key skills such as effective communication, teamwork, creativity, time management, and decision-making—essential for successfully leading digital transformation projects.

One of the program’s most valued aspects is its free participation and strong employability focus: T-Systems Iberia remains committed to hiring at least 50% of participants who complete the training, with the possibility of increasing this figure to 100%, depending on market needs and achieved results.

With this new edition, the University of Granada and T-Systems reaffirm their commitment to training young talent equipped to lead the digital transformation of the public sector, contributing to more agile, accessible, and efficient management for citizens.

We continue to train professionals who drive the change toward a more digital and sustainable future!

UNIVERSITY TALENT SOLVING CHALLENGES WITH DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

1024 768 Incubadora de Talento

The T-Systems headquarters in Granada hosted the final gala of the T-Systems University Challenge: Digitalization for Sustainable Development on Thursday, September 25. This program was jointly driven by T-Systems Iberia and the University of Granada, focusing on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Out of 702 participating students and 256 proposals received, only 12 finalists reached the final stage, demonstrating how digitalization can drive change in key sectors such as automotive, healthcare, energy, tourism, and public administration.

The Winning Project: URBIOMA
The first prize went to URBIOMA, presented by Margarita San Juan, a student in the dual degree in Business Administration (ADE) and Law at the University of Granada. Her proposal offers a biomimetic solution to model the city as an “intelligent organism,” capable of self-regulating thanks to environmental intelligence, promoting autonomous urban regeneration.

Other Finalist Ideas
Along with the winning project, the final featured other highly valuable proposals that addressed some of today’s most pressing challenges. One project focused on developing an innovative system for controlling and preventing forest fires in Spain, with the goal of enhancing emergency response capabilities and protecting one of the country’s most valuable natural heritages.

Another presented proposal offered a model for sustainable tourism specifically designed for the city of Granada, aiming to balance tourist attraction with the conservation of the region’s cultural and environmental heritage.

Mobility was also a key focus in this edition of the challenge, with a proposal suggesting the creation of a digital platform to promote shared intercity mobility, helping to reduce carbon footprints and encourage new, more accessible and collaborative transport solutions.

Finally, one of the finalist projects introduced a global system aimed at monitoring water quality in developing countries, combining technological innovation with social impact, and potentially becoming an essential tool for ensuring fairer and more sustainable access to such a vital resource as water.

A Learning Experience and Professional Future
The challenge not only sought to reward ideas but also aimed to help students develop key competencies for their professional future: innovation, complex problem-solving, and critical thinking. The finalists competed for cash prizes and the opportunity to start their professional careers at T-Systems.

An Alliance for Digital Sustainability
The gala was attended by Carlos Sampedro, Director of Knowledge Transfer and Innovation at the UGR, and Cristina Caamiña, General Director of Value Centers at T-Systems Iberia, alongside other executives and leaders from the Talent Incubator.

The T-Systems University Challenge is part of the Chair of Innovation in Digital Sustainability, established by the University of Granada and T-Systems Iberia to train students as key agents in the sustainability of the planet.
