Last Friday, Elena Mellado visited the classrooms of the University of Granada. The Faculty of Economics and Business hosted a masterclass organized by the Department of Business Organization II in collaboration with the Talent Incubator, designed to show the practical, innovative, and fun side of people management in the Human Resources Management course for the Business Administration and Law, Business Administration, and Tourism degrees.
Under the motto “Talent in the right place,” the session focused on the strategic management of human capital and its direct impact on corporate performance. Elena Mellado shared the famous ‘Harvard Case’ with a classroom full of students, breaking down the concepts of ‘A-B-C Positions’ and ‘A-B-C Players’. Through a dynamic methodology, the students learned how to audit and segment key roles and individuals based on their value contribution to align talent with long-term strategic objectives.
During the meeting, the students were able to experience firsthand the real workforce planning trends and tools that are setting the pace in today’s labor market. Far from being a purely theoretical class, the talk stood out for its practical and interactive approach, including playful exercises and group dynamics such as calculations and sales simulations that directly engaged the students. The future professionals understood that adaptability and knowledge of these new strategic tools are the true keys to standing out.
This activity reaffi rms the main objective of the Talent Incubator: to narrow the gap between the academic and business environments. Thanks to the Department of Business Organization II of the UGR, we continue to provide our university talent with the opportunity to learn from active leaders and prepare with confidence for the challenges of tomorrow.
We continue to push UGR talent to the next level!
