As part of the 10th Edition of the “Skills Improvement for Job Search and Employment” program, the FCCEE Vice-Dean of Students and the Talent Incubator hosted an inspiring roundtable titled: “And after the degree, what?”

A panel of successful alumni: Rafael Baca, Aida Ubago, Ángel Contreras, Andrea Peña, Cosmina Ghencea, and Mario Liébana, guided current students through the realities of transitioning from university to the labor market.

● A Clear Message: The panelists emphasized an encouraging reality: “Companies want UGR talent.”
● Real-World Insights: Moving away from pure theory, alumni shared their personal experiences, early career challenges, and insights into current hiring processes.
● Essential Competencies: The discussion highlighted that a positive attitude, adaptability, and effectively showcasing university-acquired skills are the true differentiators in the workplace.

Financed by the UGR’s Vice-Rectorate for Social Innovation, Employability, and Entrepreneurship, this event reaffi rms the University of Granada’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and the business world, equipping students with the tools to face their future with confidence.
