Last Friday, November 15, over 250 participants divided into 73 teams tackled a real-world challenge presented by the Marketing Department of the multinational company Lactalis Puleva. Organized by the Talent Incubator of the University of Granada, this event offered students a unique opportunity to put their problem-solving, creativity, and collaborative skills into action.
Throughout the day, participants worked intensively on their proposals, exchanging ideas and receiving valuable feedback from Lactalis Puleva professionals and University of Granada faculty members, who played a pivotal role in the event. Additionally, the technical and organizational support provided by coordination teams ensured an unforgettable experience for all involved.
This initiative was made possible thanks to the commitment and involvement of Lactalis Puleva’s team. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished professionals from the Lactalis Group, including Pedro Marín García, Miguel García Cuesta, Lucía Alcaide Camino, Cristina Lucendo, and Raquel Sanguino Morales, who shared inspiring insights and practical advice with the participants. A highlight of the event was the participation of Alba Caballero, Elisabeth García del Río, and Natalia Muñoz García—former participants of the first edition of the Hackathon, who are now part of the Lactalis team. Their professional growth is a source of pride for everyone involved.
A special thanks goes to David Saliot, General Manager of the Lactalis Group, for spearheading this collaboration between the University of Granada and Lactalis Puleva. We also extend our gratitude to all the company collaborators who made this event possible.
The Hackathon was also organized by the Talent Incubator’s leadership team, led by Juan Alberto Aragón and Lola Vidal, and supported by a large group of University of Granada professors, including María Ruiz Castillo, Virginia Luque-Romero Luque, Paloma Lozano, Nuria Esther Hurtado Torres, Inmaculada Martín Tapia, Encarnación García Sánchez, and Sandro Berni Ríos. Their expertise and enthusiasm were instrumental in guiding the teams in developing their proposals.
The Hackathon proved to be an enriching experience, where students showcased their commitment, enthusiasm, and innovative potential, standing out as future professionals ready to tackle the challenges of the workplace.
The Talent Incubator extends a heartfelt thank you to all the students for their effort, creativity, and dedication, and to Lactalis Puleva for their continued collaboration in initiatives that strengthen the bond between academia and business.
We look forward to continuing our work together to nurture and develop the talent of the future!4
