The best students of the University of Granada begin a year-long, specialized Leadership Program to develop their potential and leadership skills.

The University of Granada held yesterday, November 25th, the official inauguration of the Professional Competency Acceleration Program (CAP), one of the flagship initiatives of the Talent Incubator aimed at developing university potential. The event took place at the Royal Hospital and was attended by institutional representatives, executives from Strada Global —the program’s sponsoring company—, mentors, faculty members, and the newly selected students for this edition.

Several prominent speakers took part in the event. Pilar Guillén, from Strada Global, emphasized how mentoring and professional opportunities will accompany the students throughout the CAP, offering a real bridge into the business world. Francisco Quesada, also from Strada Global, conveyed the company’s vision and its strong commitment to young talent, stressing that supporting future leaders is an investment with a direct impact on society.

From the Talent Incubator, Prof. Dr. J. Alberto Aragón-Correa, Co-Director of the Incubator, highlighted the goals that have driven the Program since its creation: promoting conscious leadership and complementing the academic excellence of high-potential students.

One of the most emotional moments of the event came from Maitena Lois, a participant from the previous edition, who shared her personal experience and how the CAP enabled her to discover new abilities, build self-confidence, and take a decisive step toward her professional future.

In an especially competitive edition, the CAP begins with 20 students selected from among the best academic records at the University of Granada. They come from a wide variety of degrees, including Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Business Administration, Marketing, Law, Labor Relations, Translation, Pharmacy, Sociology, and several master’s programs.

The CAP is enriched by a strong team of mentors from multinational companies, including José Carlos Díaz, Julio del Río Ferriz, Sascha F. Schneider, Manuel Vargas, Eva Martín, and Pascal Jéhanno, who will accompany the students throughout the program, bringing them closer to the real challenges of the corporate environment.

With this new edition, the University of Granada reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and the promotion of young talent, consolidating the CAP as one of the leading programs in leadership, educational innovation, and employability.

An immersive experience that brings university talent closer to the current demands of the technological ecosystem

The Talent Incubator held a new edition of the T-Systems Experience program, an initiative aimed at bringing students closer to the reality of digital transformation and the current challenges of the technology sector. The activity, organized with the support of the T-Systems – University of Granada Chair for Sustainable Digital Innovation, brought together 70 final-year students from the double degrees in Business Administration and Law, and Business Administration with Civil and Computer Engineering.

The event began with a talk by Alberto Aragón, Professor at the University of Granada and Director of the Talent Incubator, who highlighted the importance of students gaining first-hand insight into how leading technology companies operate. He also emphasized that this type of activity makes it possible “to connect the excellent academic profile of young people with real opportunities for professional development.”

Next, Francisco Ruiz, Value Center Manager at T-Systems, delivered an institutional welcome in which he presented the company’s philosophy and its leading role in the digitalization of public administrations and major private companies. His remarks served as an introduction to a program designed to show students the real impact of technology on contemporary organizational processes.

During the visit, participants toured T-Systems’ Granada headquarters and explored various work, innovation, and development spaces. They also attended presentations of several use cases applied to fields such as justice, public administration, and private enterprise, delivered by company representatives.

The session concluded with an informal space for conversation and networking between students and T-Systems professionals, where key topics such as future digital profiles, working conditions, dynamics in technological environments, and recruitment processes were discussed. This format—combining presentations, a guided tour, and open dialogue—aims to help students understand how their academic knowledge can align with current needs in the digital market.

To close the event, Jorge Chamorro, Area Lead of Cybersecurity at T-Systems and one of the day’s coordinators, expressed his satisfaction in contributing to showcasing professional opportunities linked to the digital and technological development fields. The activity also featured the collaboration of Fran Rodrigo (AI Engineer and Chapter Lead), José Antonio Pérez (AI Engineer), Pedro Espigares and Victoria Tínar (Electronic Administration consultants). From the University of Granada, professors Natalia Ortiz and Rubén Ordoñez participated actively.

Both the Talent Incubator and T-Systems Iberia reaffirmed their commitment to continuing to promote free programs that connect university education with the professional challenges of the digital ecosystem, thus strengthening the bridge between university and industry.

Creativity and talent shine at the LP–UGR Hackathon Gala: Innovation, coffee, and five teams that won over the jury

The Lactalis Puleva headquarters became the epicenter of university innovation yesterday during the Lactalis Puleva–UGR Innovation Hackathon Gala, where the finalist teams presented their creative solutions before company executives and experts. It was an afternoon filled with excitement, groundbreaking ideas, and proposals that showcased the enormous potential of young talent.

Another invited expert added: “We didn’t expect such maturity in the projects. Today, we have seen the future.”

The program, which began in October inviting students from any degree to submit innovative solutions, has once again become a benchmark space for training creativity, planning, time management, and collaborative work skills. WOMEN’S TALENT 4.0: AN EXPERIENCE THAT GOES BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

In a world where technology is advancing at a rapid pace, the gender gap in the digital sphere remains an open wound.

The numbers don’t lie. According to the report “Women Scientists in Figures 2025”, women represent 57% of university students in Spain. However, in fields such as Engineering or Computer Science, their presence barely reaches 28% and 17% respectively. This inequality carries over to the labor market, where women hold only one-third of the positions in the technological sector.

The University of Granada, once again this year, in collaboration with the multinational Strada, is taking action in the face of this reality. The Talento Mujer 4.0 program supports 15 young women in the sixth edition of this initiative with a formula as simple as it is powerful: training, mentoring, and real professional opportunities in the digital sector.

The presentation of the program took place last Thursday in the Graduate Hall of the School of Civil Engineering and was attended by Lola Vidal, Co-Director of the Talent Incubator, and executives from Strada Global: Pilar Guillén, ProServ CoE Leader; Noelia Manchon, ProServ IT Client Service Owner Manager; and Encarnación García, Talent Acquisition – Early Career & Campus Recruiter.

For nine months, the selected students from STEM degrees will immerse themselves in an intensive program combining training in high-performance professional skills, personalized mentoring in digital technologies, and paid internships at a leading technology multinational.

The impact of Talento Mujer 4.0 aims to go beyond the purely academic. It is a commitment to equity, diversity, and a future in which women not only take part in the digital revolution but can also lead it. In the words of one of the participants: “We hope not only to learn about technology and innovation, but also to acquire key skills such as leading teams, communicating effectively, and believing in ourselves.”

Programs like this are more necessary than ever. The “Women Scientists in Figures 2025” report warns that if the current pace continues, parity at the highest levels of the digital career path will not be achieved for another 15 years.

Talento Mujer 4.0 has become a benchmark at the University of Granada for gender equality initiatives. At a time when Spain needs to incorporate more than three million professionals with digital skills, we cannot afford to leave half of the talent behind.
