ONE MORE YEAR DRIVING FEMALE DIGITAL TALENT

957 574 Incubadora de Talento

The University of Granada and Strada Global launch the sixth edition of the “Talento Mujer 4.0” Program to promote female leadership in the digital sector.

The University of Granada, through its Talent Incubator, and with the sponsorship of the multinational Strada Global, is launching the 6th edition of the “Talento Mujer 4.0” program. This initiative aims to increase the participation of female university students in careers related to STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), with the goal of reducing the digital gender gap and encouraging young women’s access to the most in-demand and well-paid professions of today and the future.

Inclusive Experience for Labor Market Integration
The program, sponsored by the international company STRADA GLOBAL, headquartered in Granada, will select 15 female students from undergraduate and master’s STEM programs with high development potential. Over the course of six months, they will receive intensive training in digital skills, as well as specialized workshops in leadership, communication, teamwork, and personal development.

Talento Mujer 4.0 offers comprehensive and practical training, combining sessions with sector professionals and paid internships within the company, enabling participants to gain real experience in digital business environments and build key connections for their future professional development.

Reality of the ICT Sector
This initiative addresses a concerning reality in the current state of the ICT sector in Spain. According to data from the National Statistics Institute, only 19.4% of ICT specialists in Spain are women, and just 1.7% of employed women in the country work professionally in the technology field. Worse still, these numbers have worsened in recent years. 61.3% of companies in the ICT sector (6 out of 10) do not employ female ICT specialists, highlighting the urgent need to implement effective policies and programs to foster gender equity in the technological field.
