The Talent Incubator Promotes Scientific Talent with Experts from the Multinational T-Systems During a Day of Technological Transformation

On May 26, the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Granada hosted an enriching training day as part of the Talent Incubator Initiative and T-Systems Connections, under the theme “Connect with Experience: Learning from Innovation Leaders.”

The event, driven by the Talent Incubator of the University of Granada in collaboration with the technology multinational T-Systems, brought together undergraduate students from the Biotechnology and Biochemistry programs, as well as students from the Master’s in Biotechnology, along with faculty members and industry professionals.

“Shaping the Leaders of Tomorrow”

This initiative aims to bring the challenges and opportunities of technological solutions closer to the academic environment. Through thematic presentations and real-world use cases, professionals from T-Systems shared their experiences with attendees, creating an inspiring and dynamic learning space.

During the talk titled “Digital Health: Professional Opportunities in the Field of Biotechnology”, delivered by Ms. María Cardona Aparicio, an expert in technological solutions in the health sector, students gained first-hand insights into how technological innovation is transforming key industries and how their academic profiles can align with highly dynamic professional environments.

“Boosting Talent”

The program’s objectives focus on connecting students with career paths that align with market demands, sparking interest in real-world technological applications, and strengthening understanding of its impact in areas such as the economy, engineering, and health sciences.

With events like this, the University of Granada continues to champion an education that is connected to the business world, committed to innovation, and focused on the professional future of its students.

On March 16 and 17, at the Hotel Turia in Granada, the 25 young people selected for the talent acquisition program “Generación L Store,” held on April 23 and 24, took part in an intensive weekend training focused on leadership and soft skills.

This training experience, driven by Leroy Merlin in collaboration with the University of Granada and the Talent Incubator, aimed to strengthen the interpersonal competencies of future professionals through experiential dynamics and collaborative challenges in a practical, demanding, and creative environment.

During the training, participants worked on skills considered essential in today’s professional world, such as teamwork, effective communication, leadership, conflict resolution, empathy, and collaboration. Through specifically designed activities that simulate real-life situations — such as solving mazes under pressure, organizing group events with hidden roles, or narrating experiences in the form of an opera — attendees gained deeper insight into how to navigate complex and changing work environments.

The event was guided by Ana Martín-Moreno, an expert in coaching and emotional management, and Lola Vidal, co-director of the Talent Incubator. Both supported the participants with high-value tools and practical reflections to aid their personal and professional development.

In addition to consolidating key knowledge and skills, the weekend offered a unique opportunity to build connections among participants and establish a networking community that will support them throughout their future careers.

This event marked the grand finale of the “Generación L Store” program, whose mission is to transform retail by incorporating young talent with leadership potential. The selected candidates will join Leroy Merlin on September 1, beginning a promising professional journey.
