TAO Expert Programe in Digital Transformation of Public Administrations in the field of Taxation

Purpose of the Program

Improvement of public services is an issue that is receiving increasing attention and is constantly on all the public agendas. Quality services are necessary to improve the quality of life and day-to-day living, so there is an urgent need to improve the coordination, automation, accessibility and transparency of the services offered by local governments administrations, especially those closest to the people, such as city councils, provincial councils or municipal associations.

Both the private sector and government administrations are investing heavily in these changes, and are looking for qualified people to help them understand, design and implement the digitization of public services to bring about this revolution based on quality management. This field of work offers highly skilled jobs, with very interesting contracts and salaries in both the public and private sectors.

Many students finishing their university education in a wide range of fields have a high potential for employment by digital companies. The main prerequisites are interest in working in the field, willingness to learn how to use specific software and the will to make a difference.

The TAO Expert program developed by the Talent Incubator and funded by T-System is aimed at offering advice, training and paid professional experience to students with an interest in public tax management, to get them started in a successful career in a multinational digitization company.

Planned schedule

The second year of the program will follow the schedule below:

Participant selection and application processing: June, July, and September 2023
Soft skills training and Tao Expert program: October 2nd to November 17th, 2023 (morning sessions from Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 2:30 pm)
Practical project development: November 20th to December 12th, 2023 (individual remote work with tutors and final defense)
Holiday break: Christmas
Company incorporation: January 8th, 2023 (at least a 50% commitment to hiring)

Program Activities

Experiential and practical training

During a two-month intensive practical training period, participants will learn how to set up the processes necessary to improve the digital management of public services based on TAO software, one of the most widely used by local government administrations in tax management. Experiential seminars aimed at improving key professional skills, such as effective communication, teamwork, time management, decision making, and others will also be given.

Selection of Participants

This program is open to recent graduates and undergraduates in their last year or master students with an interest in improving public services management, who want to learn how to use a leading public digitization support program and advanced professional skills. Applicants selected will have a profile showing enthusiasm for digitization and increased sustainability of public services.

Recruitment

T-Systems has made a commitment to hire at least 50% of all persons completing the training period.

Program Cost

The program is COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE for all selected participants. The program cost of 4,500 Euros per person is fully paid by T-Systems in collaboration with the University of Granada Department of Digital Sustainability Innovation. In addition, the company intends to hire a number of students, who will start work immediately upon completion of their training.
